What I don’t get is, it seems like every time a YouTuber or internet person voices an OPINION on ANYTHING, everyone in the universe, including, if not especially, people who have probably never previously given any thought to that topic, feel the need to come up with every reason why that internet person is completely wrong and never should have spoken up and should never express an opinion ever again. Most of the time, it’s not even reasons why they are WRONG, just reasons why they have the wrong INFORMATION, or they didn’t do ENOUGH research. 
It’s this weird idea that if you have any sort of ‘audience’ on the internet, everything you say must be accompanied by a bibliography and perhaps also a PhD in the subject at hand.

People automatically label YouTubers who stand for stuff as close-minded and obsessed with their own opinions. 

1. Google. If you read something that someone posts and you decide to take it as gospel, that’s no one’s fault but your own. The internet is a big place and there are plenty of ways to decide for yourself. Of course, people need to be held accountable for the things they publish, but we also need to be individually responsible for ourselves and the things we take as fact.
2. Discourse is VITAL. Placing so much emphasis on ONLY speaking when you’ve got ALL the facts, 100% of the time silences people, and it keeps important discussions from happening. 

Lex is one of the only internet people I know that is willing to speak up so frequently. Yeah, sometimes someone brings facts to her attention contrary to what she’s been operating on, but she always keeps people updated on new information. The emphasis is on SHARING and DISCUSSING information, not preaching.
Policing every post in your feed is a waste of time, and completely counterproductive.
